APPROACH

As a BATC complementary therapist, I work based on five nature-oriented principles, which stem from certain natural laws.

To be and remain healthy, each of these principles must be in balance, both individually and in relation to one another. The five principles are not separate entities; rather, they are interconnected and interdependent, much like a woven structure where each element influences the others.

For example, if someone does not consume sufficient nutritious food, their energy balance will not be optimal. Likewise, excessive worrying can drain the body’s energy. Therefore, it is essential to consider all five principles and their interconnections. Below, in the correct order, you will find a brief explanation of the five nature-oriented principles according to BATC.

ENERGY

Worldwide, energy is seen as the foundation of life. Energy forms the basis of the treatments provided by the BATC therapist. Work can only be done on the principles of nerve transmission, drainage, nutrition, and mental well-being once your energy balance is in order. Without energy, the body cannot function optimally, and healing cannot occur.

It is a top priority to ensure you have sufficient energy, that energy flows in balance, and that any blockages are removed.

Psychosocial methods such as focusing, introspection, silence therapy, and creative therapy complement the body-oriented therapies I use. These methods aid in self-reflection and support the healing process. Zen Shiatsu and Acupressure help release mental blockages and tension by activating specific pressure points, which can alleviate emotions and mental stress. Holistic Pulsing promotes deep relaxation, fostering inner peace and clarity. Abdominal massage directly affects the nervous system, helping to release emotional tension stored in the body, while Lymphatic Drainage helps to relieve the body and mind of negative energy.

STIMULUS TRANSMISSION

Nerve transmission takes place through your nervous system. Through the brain, stimuli are sent via the nervous system to the rest of your body. Likewise, stimuli from your body are sent to your brain.

The nervous system is the communication network, or “telephone line,” of your body. Pain signals, for example, have a function to enable a quick and appropriate response in certain situations.

Nerve transmission also ensures that certain signals, such as what is needed for recovery, are communicated to the body. Good nerve transmission is essential for proper functioning and recovery.

Through Deep Tissue and Thai Massage, the muscles are loosened, and the flow of signals in the nervous system is stimulated. Acupressure and Zen Shiatsu support communication between the nervous system and muscles, ensuring that signals can be effectively transmitted throughout the body, while Holistic Pulsing brings energy flows into balance for optimal nerve transmission.

DRAINAGE

In daily life, our body often deals with overloading due to waste products. Some external causes may include inhaling polluted air (heavy metals) or certain substances such as pesticide residues, dioxins, or specific additives in our food. Additionally, our body can create an overload of waste products if, for example, our lymphatic system or blood circulation is not functioning optimally.

Under favorable conditions, our body is capable of eliminating most waste products through our excretion organs without problems. However, sometimes it is beneficial to support and stimulate the body in this process. When there are too many waste products in the body, for instance in our intestines, nutrients can no longer be absorbed properly.

Lymphatic Drainage is the primary method to support the body in eliminating waste products, which strengthens the immune system and reduces swelling. Abdominal massage stimulates digestion and promotes natural detoxification processes. Reflexology activates the reflex points that support organs and systems in the body, while Deep Tissue helps to break physical blockages, allowing drainage to take place.

NUTRITION

Nutrition maintains your cells and provides them with fuel. Your daily diet is one of the most important components for a fit and healthy body and a sharp mind.

Certain foods are not tolerated equally well by everyone. This may be a temporary issue. Through targeted dietary advice, this can change for the better. It is important to consume the right foods that match your constitution and circumstances, and in the right amounts.

Acupressure stimulates the internal organs, promoting the absorption of nutrients. Abdominal massage improves digestion by massaging the abdominal area, which promotes the function of the intestines. Holistic Pulsing supports metabolism by stimulating circulation, and Zen Shiatsu balances energy flows, allowing your body to better absorb the right nutrients.

MENTAL WELL-BEING

In addition to the previous principles, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects influence your health and well-being. Awareness of your limiting thought and behavior patterns is extremely important, both for mental and physical well-being.

Worries or other mental tensions can lead to many complaints, such as stomach issues, headaches, or tense muscles. You will learn to change, break, or release these limiting thought and behavior problems in a healthy way, for the best possible recovery and to maintain balance in the future.
