Vladlena Sandu, Russian director, was born in Ukraine, grew up in Chechnya and witnessed the Chechen war. She graduated from the directing department of VGIK. Vladlena was forced to leave Russia because of the war with Ukraine and now she is in Amsterdam working on the film Memory, which is about her childhood experience in the war. Together we walked through the Vondelpark and shared our thoughts on war and peace.
